We're continuing our re-visitation of "Episodes from the Crypt", where we delve into the darker side of life. This time we're delving into nihilism and a dystopian future when we discuss Gary Numan/Tubeway Army's second studio album, 1979's "Replicas". And we're bringing Josh Carlsen along for the ride. "Replicas" was a bit of a shift from Tubeway Army's first album, and this shift would propel the rest of Gary Numan's career. But what of this album? Was it synthpop/darkwave masterpiece that greatly influenced electronic and industrial music or was it a collection of mostly forgettable songs that ripped off Kraftwerk? Tune in to find out. Plus we read your fan mail.

Join us as we discuss an album that celebrated its 15th anniversary this past Sunday (20 August), the debut release from Interpol, "Turn on the Bright Lights". This album has been seen as helping define indie rock in the early 2000s and has been cited as an influence on various indie rock bands. But what of this album? Was this album a modern post-punk classic, or was it a monotonous Joy Division rip-off? Tune in to find out.

Today, Iron-Cast is giving you an "Episodes from the Crypt" Bonus Track, where we delve into the darker side of life... death, goth, horror and the occult. This time it is in the form or the fourth studio album from Siouxsie & The Banshees, "Juju". Released in 1981, "Juju" marked a return to guitar-based songs and became possibly the band's darkest album. But what of this album? Is it a post-punk/goth masterpiece, or is it a collection of over-rated goth-pop songs? Tune in and find out.
